JOB DESCRIPTION/REQUIREMENTS:
Shift: 5:00PM - 1:30AM; with Sunday & Monday off
Responsible for the successful daily operation and supervision of the hotel front desk and staff. Assist the Manager with the selection & training of front desk agents, bell persons & leads. Create staff schedules, monitor time-clock and staff attendance system, and maintain productivity reports and other necessary reports. Control rooms and rate availability in accordance with established guidelines to maximize occupancy and revenues. Perform and act as the manager-on-duty in the absence of management.
College degree in hotel/hospitality management preferred. Candidate must have at least two years of front desk/reservations experience. Strong computer skills and proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite required. Knowledge of Micros Opera property management system is preferred. Excellent phone etiquette, customer service and people skills. Must have strong organizational and multi-tasking skills, and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with persons of diverse backgrounds. Long periods of standing and walking. Must be able to reach, bend, stoop and lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to push/pull up to 150 pounds. Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and varied hours. Smoking environment.
