The Plant Controller will oversee all financial aspects of our manufacturing plant, including budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, and financial reporting.
This role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, cost accounting principles, and financial management systems.

Responsibilities:
1.
Develop and maintain the plant's annual budget and quarterly forecast updates, ensuring accuracy and compliance with corporate guidelines.
2.
Provide financial analysis and decision support to the plant management team, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and cost-benefit analysis.
3.
Oversee the plant's cost accounting function, including inventory valuation, cost of goods sold analysis, and overhead allocation.
4.
Prepare and present monthly financial reports to plant management and corporate finance, highlighting key business drivers and identifying potential risks and opportunities.
5.
Collaborate with plant management to identify and implement cost reduction initiatives and process improvements.
6.
Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, as well as applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
7.
Participate in the development and implementation of strategic initiatives to drive operational efficiency and profitability.
8.
Lead the financial planning and analysis function for the plant, providing accurate and timely financial information and insights to support decision making.
9.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure the accuracy of financial data and the integrity of financial systems.
Qualifications:
1.
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
2.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting and finance, with a focus on manufacturing environments.
3.
Proven experience in cost accounting and financial analysis in a manufacturing setting.
4.
Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting.
5.
Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and provide actionable business insights.
6.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively present financial information to non-financial audiences.
7.
Proficiency in financial management systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
8.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment, as well as independently.
9.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and integrity in all financial matters.
10.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
